The RISE Empowerment Program is an eight-month empowerment and mentoring initiative for young women in Grades 11 and 12 in Papua New Guinea. Through monthly workshops, mentoring, school-based support and outreach initiatives, the program equips participants with the tools, confidence and networks to thrive personally and professionally. RISE focuses on leadership, wellness, dignity, education and tertiary pathways, entrepreneurship, service, and career readiness, empowering young women to realize their potential and become leaders within their communities.
As a founding partner and lead sponsor of RISE PNG, CPL Foundation Inc. continues to play a pivotal role in supporting the program’s growth and sustainability. During the fifth RISE Empowerment Workshop for 2026, CPL Foundation reaffirmed its commitment by presenting a cheque for K182,899.87 to support the program.
CPL Foundation’s sponsorship contributes significantly to the delivery and operation of RISE, supporting a substantial portion of program costs, including workshop delivery, program management and in-school support initiatives. Beyond directly supporting the program’s 40 mentees and 20 mentors, the Foundation’s contribution enables RISE to deepen its impact across partner schools through its School Support Project and broader community outreach activities.
In Term 4, RISE will deliver outreach sessions across its partner schools, extending key program content, resources and learning opportunities to Year 11 and 12 students beyond the core cohort. This expanded engagement is designed to create a meaningful ripple effect, ensuring that more young women benefit from the knowledge, skills and support provided through the program.
