CPL Foundation Honours Six Outstanding Women at the 14th Pride of PNG Women Awards

The 14th Pride of PNG Women Awards concluded in spectacular fashion on August 29th 2026 with a gala dinner attended by His Excellency Grand Chief Bob Dadde, Governor General of Papua New Guinea and Patron of the Pride of PNG Women Awards, accompanied by his wife, Lady Emeline Dadae. Joining them were Her Excellency Ms. Winnie Kiap, Dame Meg Taylor, partners and stakeholders who gathered to celebrate the remarkable achievements of Papua New Guinean women.
The evening honored everyday women whose leadership, dedication and service are transforming lives and strengthening communities across the country. These women serve as advocates, educators, volunteers and changemakers, often working quietly and selflessly without seeking recognition.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, former Pride of PNG Women Awards recipient Ms. Tessie Soi, founder of Friends Foundation and a long-time advocate for people living with HIV/AIDS, shared how the award has strengthened her work and expanded opportunities to support vulnerable communities. She also acknowledged CPL Foundation’s ongoing commitment to uplifting women and recognizing those making a meaningful difference throughout Papua New Guinea.

Congratulations to all 18 finalists and the six category winners. Their leadership, resilience and commitment to service embody the true spirit of the Pride of PNG Women Awards and serve as an inspiration to future generations of women across Papua New Guinea.
