Yolarnie Amepou is a past winner of the Pride of PNG Awards under the Environment Award Medal Category. Following her win in 2015, she manages the Piku Biodiversity Network, an NGO which focuses its work around conservation of the Piku Pig nosed turtles found in the Kikori River of the Gulf Province.
