Since its launch in 2007, the Pride of PNG Women Awards has become one of Papua New Guinea’s most respected programs celebrating the achievements of women. Established by CPL Foundation Inc., the non-profit arm of CPL Group, in partnership with the Post-Courier, the Awards were created to recognise and honour Papua New Guinean women whose actions make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
For nearly two decades, the Awards have recognised more than 70 exceptional women whose efforts have brought positive change across PNG. Their achievements embody the spirit of the Awards: “She is the Pride of her Family, the Pride of her Community, and the Pride of PNG.” Beyond celebrating their accomplishments, CPL Foundation continues to empower award recipients to grow their impact in communities nationwide.
Following the launch of the 14th Awards in May 2026, nominations opened nationwide and attracted more than 100 entries from across the country. The nominations showcased outstanding leadership and service by Papua New Guinean women across the six award categories: Health & Wellbeing, Rising Star, Bravery & Courage, Enterprise & Innovation, Care & Compassion, and Knowledge & Skills.
After a thorough judging process, an esteemed panel of judges selected 18 outstanding women as finalists across the six award categories.
Health & Wellbeing Award
Recognising grassroots leadership in improving community health and awareness.

Speaking ahead of the awards presentation, CPL Foundation Inc. Manager Deborah Alois said the finalists represent the very best of community leadership, service and determination found across Papua New Guinea.

This Saturday, 29 August 2026, CPL Foundation Inc., together with Patron of the Awards His Excellency Grand Chief Sir Bob Bofeng Dadae, Governor-General of Papua New Guinea, founding partner Post-Courier, and program partners, will honour these extraordinary women at the Pride of PNG Women Awards Gala Dinner at the Hilton Hotel Port Moresby.
